Another day at the races

Sally Was scheduled to work today but she did not hopefully we will gallop tomorrow and then work 1/2 on Wednesday.. SHe was acting funny yesterday and I did not do much wiht her today..oh well

Around the oval

Sally is doing good, set to work 3/8 on MOnday with the jock. tartung tio change her feed before I run Out of the feed I brought with me. She is getting to where she leaves little crumbs in her feed tub go figure.. Not dringking near enough water for me but oh well.. Temp is good low 40's at nite and mid 70's during the day.

3/8 work today

Sally went out for a routine 1 and 1/2 miles gallop and she sanwiched a 3/8 work in the gallop. We were going to work tomorrow but will walk instead.. Looks like we will run Christmas week.
She is doing good. eating everything I put in front of her.the weather is good. She still has lots of hair..

Down the road and up the line

Sally is doing well. She is galloping 1 and 1/2 miles daily. We have changed riders. Clyde is from Ky and I know him from Ellis Park, also he used to gallop for Jerry Joe Greenwell. She gallops rite along. She 2 minute licked a mile today and she pinned her ears tocatch a horse who roared up along side of her. She is eating up well and enjoing about 4 quarts of carrots daily along with a couple of mints..She seems to relish the track and training. We rigged up an arm on the walker for her(and me) although I walk her rite after her gallops for 10 minutes then bathe her then put her onthe wheel for 30 minutes. The weather is good, has been cold 36 in am then wrams rite up. Am using puter in Library so the blog is a day late sometimes..

The Saga continues

Have sent Sally to the main track for 4 days now. The guy getting on her wears spurs, he tells me today that she needs to go to the training track so he can spur her.. I changed riders today. She has never done anything to suggest but now she has a bald spot where her bit is ribbing the because the guys keeps her head turned.. she is still eating up..

Saly gal at Truf Paradise

Well Sally and I left home in Rigby Idaho, Friday morning 8 Nov 2009. After travelling all day we got to Turf paradise at 10:16, got to the receiving barn and I walked her then put her in an outside pen for a while. I leveled her stall put in fresh hay and clean water. After she had been in the stall for a while I checked her to make sure she was ok. She was so I left her to get a few hours sleep this was at 12:40 and at 4:30 I was up and back to the track. The next day I got my stall in barn D7 . She walked that day and Sunday. Monday she went to the track and did ok she was really worked up. She has not seen a racetrack in over a year. Today she did better. Yesterday I got a chain and a walker tie and rigged up a side of the walking wheel for myself. Looks ok and i t works..
